HDFC Forex Card Charges in 2024

HDFC bank offers five types of forex cards for different traveling purposes. 

Five Forex cards are –

  • MakeMyTrip HDFC Bank ForexPlus Card for travel purpose
  • Regalia ForexPlus Card for frequent travelers
  • Multicurrency Platinum ForexPlus Chip Card for business, travel and others
  • ISIC Student ForexPlus Card for Students
  • Hajj Umrah Card for Pilgrims

According to the FEMA guidelines, you can load a maximum limit of USD $250,000 in a financial year. You do not need to be an existing HDFC Bank customer to apply for the HDFC Bank Forex Card.

#1. MakeMyTrip Hdfc Bank ForexPlus Card

MakeMyTrip HDFC Bank ForexPlus Card

MakeMyTrip HDFC Bank ForexPlus Card is a co-branded travel card with MakeMyTrip. You can load 22 currencies into this card which makes it easier to exchange foreign currency. With this card,  you will also enjoy airport lounge access and free insurance cover. 

Charges of MakeMyTrip HDFC Bank ForexPlus Card

  • Card Issuance Fee – Rs.500 plus GST
  • Annual Fee – No annual charge, you just need to pay reloading fees. 
  • Reload Fee – Rs.75 plus applicable GST 
  • Re-issuance of Card Fee – Rs.100 plus GST, If your card is lost or stolen.

#2. Regalia ForexPlus Card 

Regalia ForexPlus Card

HDFC Regalia ForexPlus card for those who travel abroad frequently. This card is issued only in US dollars and you can use it in any currency. 

You will not be required to pay any extra charges on cross-currency usage. Plus, you can enjoy up to two complimentary visits to airport lounges every quarter.

#4. ISIC Student ForexPlus Card

ISIC Student ForexPlus Card

HDFC ISIC Student ForexPlus Card is a specially made forex card for students who study abroad. This card is available in three currencies including US dollars, GBP, and Euro. You can use this card for cash withdrawals and POS transactions in any country except India, Nepal and Bhutan.

Hajj Umrah Card

Hajj Umrah Card is specially designed for the convenience of Hajj & Umrah pilgrims. This card is available only in Saudi Riyal (SAR) and can be used for cash withdrawal and POS transactions in any currency across the world.

Documents Required For HDFC Forex Card

For Existing HDFC Customer 

  • Self-attested copy of passport
  • Self-attested copy of Visa or ticket
  • Address proof (if residential address is different from mentioned address on passport)

Additional Documents Required for Non-HDFC Bank Customers 

  • Copy of the statement that shows the application payment for the ForexPlus card.
  • A cancelled cheque, recent statement or passbook.
